Stableford with Mulligan’s A grade 4 Mulligan’s - B grade 6 Mulligan’s -C grade 8 Mulligan's

Definition: A mulligan, most simply put, is a "do-over." Hit a bad shot? Take a mulligan and replay that stroke.

So as you've probably guessed, a mulligan is never "legal" under the Rules of Golf. Mulligans are most often employed during friendly rounds by golf buddies; or during charity or play day tournaments

The Fairfield members Golf Club has set rules governing the use of Mulligans!

Mulligans can be used off any tee and on the fairway, but not allowed to be taken on the putting greens.

This game is the same as Singles Stableford, except when you want to play the stroke again because it was a bad shot you can from the tee or the fairway.  But according to the grade you are in you only have a limited number of Mulligans to use.

See Singles Stableford card for scoring.

Definition: A Stableford competition is a golf tournament in which the object is to get the highest score. That's because in Stableford, golfers are awarded points based on their scores in relation to a fixed score at each hole.  Your fixed score is the par of the hole plus your handicap for that hole

i.e. handicap 20, par of hole 4, index of hole 2: You have 2 strokes on the hole.  Your fixed score is 6 for this hole.  If your handicap was 1, you do not have a stroke on the hole and you fixed score for this hole would be 4.

·                     • More than 1 over fixed score (or no score returned) - 0 points

·                     • One over fixed score - 1 point                      • Fixed score - 2 points

·                     • One under fixed score - 3 points      • Two under fixed score - 4 points

·                     • Three under fixed score - 5 points                • Four under fixed score - 6 points
